The person considered the ancestor of the Tu family is Tu Thai Binh (Xu Tai Binh).

Place of birth: Gaotang, Gaotang County, Shandong Province (now Gaotang, Shandong Province).

Base background: Martial arts master.

Occupation: Martial arts master, Doctor of Philosophy, served as a "general" (镇总兵) in various localities (such as Henan and Fujian provinces). He held the position of general, participating in the management of local armies under the Qing Dynasty, before retiring.

Zi Bangjie married his mother from Yangrong County, Jiangsu Province, China.
