PART 1: PORTRAIT OF A FENG SHUI SCIENTIST, LAWYER, AND ARTISTIC SOUL
1.1. The Intersection Between Traditional Eastern Philosophy and Modern Thinking
Feng Shui researcher Liz Quiehui [8] (official name: Huang Guohui – international name and transliterated name: Huang Guohui / Li Thu Tue , also known as Tu Quoc Huy , Huynh Quoc Huy ) [8] is one of the prominent academic figures representing the contemporary generation of international feng shui and divination experts. He is currently a Grand Master of Feng Shui – Official Member of the World Association of Feng Shui and Divination , and also a reputable religious activist.
Without deifying or mystifying this ancient discipline, Grand Master Liz Quiehui always takes the ideas of practical science as a guiding principle. He approaches feng shui from the perspective of a scientist and Information Technology (IT) expert. For him, feng shui is the application of natural laws to regulate energy, optimize urban living spaces, advise on business management strategies, and create spiritual balance and blessings for people. The overarching philosophy he pursues is: “Feng shui is not just a theory, but an art of living – where people find balance, harmony and awaken the values of Truth, Goodness, and Beauty within themselves.”
1.2. A versatile career and serious social responsibility.
The stature and prestige of Master Liz Quiehui are evidenced by a diverse and professional career spanning many fields including law, education, literature, and social activism:
- Regarding Legal & Educational matters: He previously served as Deputy Chief of the Office of the Lawyers Association of District 12, Ho Chi Minh City, and was a lecturer in the IT department at Van Lang University. He is currently a member of the Vietnam Lawyers Association.
- Academic & Business: He currently holds the position of Chairman of the Scientific Council – Thien Uy Feng Shui Research and Application Center , and is also a Member of the Vietnam Association of Business Administrators.
- Regarding Culture & Community Activities: He is a member of the Ho Chi Minh City Writers Association (poetry pen name: Hoang Huy ), a member of the Vietnam Federation of UNESCO Associations, and serves as a member of the Executive Board of the Ho Chi Minh City Association for HIV/AIDS Prevention and Control.
The harmonious blend of the rigorous legal thinking of a lawyer, the keen insight of a technology expert, the profound wisdom of Eastern philosophy, and the free-spirited soul of a painter and poet has created a unique Hoang Quoc Huy. For him, painting and poetry are methods of meditation, opening up intuition to serve his advanced philosophical research.
PART 2: THE FAMILY ORIGINS – THE FAMOUS DRAGON VEIN OF A FAMILY ORIGINATING FROM SHANDONG
2.1. The Founding Ancestor from Thai Binh
The spiritual roots and martial arts spirit of the family originate from the ancient land of Shandong, strictly inherited from the founding ancestor who bore the original surname Xu:
- The founding ancestor (Founder): Great Ancestor Từ Thái Bình (徐太平) . He was originally from Trà Phèn village, Ân Lộ town, Cao Đường prefecture, Đông Xương province, Shandong province, China. He was a formidable martial arts master, passed the martial arts doctoral examination, and served as a General (镇总兵) managing local troops under the Manchu Qing dynasty in the Henan and Fujian regions before retiring. His birth and death dates are unclear in publicly available historical records.
- His family lineage from previous dynasties: His father was Xu Jingbang (徐经邦) – a distinguished scholar of the Imperial Academy who was posthumously awarded the title of Wu Gong General; his grandfather was Xu Fangzhi (徐方治) – a renowned military general of the Qing dynasty who was also bestowed the title of Wu Gong General .
2.2. Clarifying the Sect's Laws – General Tu Bang Kiet
Ancestor Tu Thai Binh had two sons and one daughter. In terms of lineage and legitimacy in the family, Mr. Tu Bang Kiet (徐邦杰) [8] (nickname Han Than - 汉臣, born in 1848 in Dongchang, Shandong, lived to the age of 73 and passed away in 1921) is considered the youngest son of Mr. Tu Thai Binh to inherit all the woodblocks, carry on the ancestral worship and represent the glorious family lineage.
However, from a purely biological standpoint, to ensure scientific integrity for researchers, Mr. Tu Bang Kiet is the biological son of Mr. Tu Thai Binh's younger brother . Due to the circumstances of the feudal era and to concentrate all blessings on the eldest branch, the younger brother entrusted his child to Mr. Tu Thai Binh to raise, care for, and adopt as his youngest son from birth.
Inheriting a renowned martial arts tradition, Xu Bangjie took his mother's ancestral home in Gouyong County, Jiangsu Province. He rose through the ranks to become the Commander-in-Chief of the Western Army's land and naval forces under the Qing Dynasty. During the Xinhai Revolution, he steadfastly maintained his military command in Zhengding Town. After the establishment of the Republic of China, he served as the Commander-in-Chief of the Presidential Palace and was posthumously awarded the title of General Shuo Wei in 1923 to honor his illustrious military career.
PART 3: THE GREAT CALAMITY OF THE ANTI-QING AND RESTORATION OF THE MING DYNASTY AND THE EPIC OF MIGRATION AND CHANGING SURNAMES IN VIETNAM
3.1. The unwavering loyalty and anonymous hardships of the family lineage.
The family's internal genealogy records a tragic chapter in their history. According to the secret accounts, it is unclear exactly which of Tu Thai Binh's sons embarked on the anti-Qing, pro-Ming revolution (反清复明) to resist the regime and fight against foreign rule. This fierce rebellion was brutally suppressed by the Manchu Qing dynasty, and the family's steadfast hero was captured and executed to preserve his honor.
This political catastrophe immediately plunged the entire direct lineage into the fierce pursuit and extermination by the imperial army. In this perilous situation at the beginning of the 20th century, the eldest son of the executed father, Mr. Tu Ba Chuan, bravely accepted the divine mandate to protect his family, leading his entire clan on a perilous sea voyage to the South to escape the danger.
3.2. The heroic deeds of Master Tu Hai Phuong and his decision to change his surname to Tu at Kinh Mon.
During their arduous journey across the vast ocean, another heroic tragedy unfolded. The youngest daughter of the family – the female martial artist Tu Hai Phuong – shouldered the perilous responsibility of protecting her family's retreating fleet. Amidst fierce battles, her troops were surrounded by a dense enemy ambush. Determined not to fall into enemy hands and bring disgrace to her family's honor, and to absolutely protect the secret of the life-or-death sea voyage of the migrating group, she bravely committed suicide on the battlefield as soon as she was surrounded . The heroic and unwavering death of the female warrior Tu Hai Phuong has become an immortal spiritual monument, deeply etched in the hearts of generations to come.
Overcoming hardships and bloodshed, the migration group led by Mr. Tu Ba Chuan finally set foot on the land of what is now Kinh Mon, Hai Duong province , to settle. Here, he practiced traditional medicine, dispensing herbs to heal the sick and help people, integrating himself into the lives of the Vietnamese people. It was at this time, to completely erase any trace of pursuit by the Northern forces and to protect his family, that he decided to change his original surname, Tu (徐), to Tu (字) in Vietnam .
The character "字" (Zi) represents the Wood element, symbolizing writing, knowledge, and eternal growth and prosperity. Mr. Tu Ba Chuan was the great-grandfather of Grand Master Hoang Quoc Huy. This spirit of loyalty and courage continued steadfastly through direct generations, until the modern era, when Grand Master Hoang Quoc Huy's youngest uncle and grandfather dedicated their lives to the cause of defending the Fatherland, bravely sacrificing themselves and becoming beloved martyrs of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam .
PART 4: THE STATE OF PHILOSOPHY AND THE MISSION OF DIGITALIZATION IN THE NEW ERA
4.1. Receiving instruction from Great Masters and the Opportunity for Tantric Buddhism
To elevate traditional philosophical knowledge into a modern, applied system of feng shui science, Grand Master Hoang Quoc Huy undertook an extremely rigorous journey of seeking out masters and learning the craft:
- Regarding Philosophy & Feng Shui: His first mentor, who opened his mind, was researcher Nguyen Vu Tuan Anh (Director of the Center for Oriental Philosophy Research). Afterward, he went to Thailand to study under international masters, acquiring advanced mystical and feng shui techniques.
- Regarding Spirituality & Esoteric Buddhism: He entered the path of practicing Esoteric Buddhism under the guidance of his first teacher, Venerable Thich Thanh Quang, in the old Song Be province (a disciple of Venerable Thich Vien Thanh). After that, he continued to practice deeply with Daoist Hoang Van (Venerable Thich Quang Chon - in Long An) [8] and respectfully took the surname Hoang as the representative surname for his religious journey.
4.2. The aspiration for digitalization and eternal legacy.
For over two decades, Grand Master Hoang Quoc Huy has applied his practical knowledge to help thousands of entrepreneurs become wealthy, improve their families, and build dozens of buildings, villas, and temples that meet scientific feng shui standards. He doesn't glorify feng shui but always uses practical scientific ideas as a guiding principle for success.
To date, in the New Era, all the secret documents of the Tu family – Tu clan have been officially immortalized by him in the digital space . Facing the risks of changes in feng shui or spirituality, his electronic portal and Thien Uy Center are always a solid support to spread positive and humanistic values to the community. Under the guidance of the symbol of the Twin Dragons Chasing the Letters, the dragon vein of the Tu clan in Vietnam is determined to move forward into the future – victorious in every battle, with talented people emerging and lasting for generations!
